This half term in History, Team UJs have been learning about the Benin Kingdom. We have researched its origins, social structure and the factors which enabled it to prosper. We focused closely on trade relations with countries across Europe and, later, the United States and considered the role precious commodities played in growing and ultimately destroying Benin's status as a civilisation. The children demonstrated fantastic knowledge and ethical thinking throughout - we are so proud. Go Team UJs!
