In 2016, Hordle CE (VA) Primary School was designated a National Support School with our Headteacher, Fiona Adams, as a National Leader of Education.  This was awarded by the National College of Teaching and Leadership in recognition of the work that Hordle Primary does to assist other schools and in recognition of it’s outstanding status.

We are committed to providing high quality professional development and colleague coaching and mentoring for schools who wish access the expertise that we have within our staff.  Here is a list of some of the areas that we can offer support:

  • As an NLE, Fiona Adams works in other schools to increase their capacity for school improvement. She  is a mentor for new headteachers and does extensive Leadership Training both for the Local Authority and for Winchester University. She is also a Pupil Premium Reviewer carrying out PP reviews in schools.
  • Lou Trim, our Deputy Headteacher, specialises in curriculum and subject leadership development and provides regular coaching. She is a Specialist Leader in Education for English and supports schools and ITT providers with specialist training.
