Meet The Den Team
As we have some new faces join our Den Team, we thought it would be nice to reintroduce our lovely after school team.
Miss Cardamone-Ward (Team Leader)
Hello, I'm Miss Ward and I am the Den leader. I have worked in all areas of the early years team at Hordle school over the past 5 years. I love being a part of team Den where I can support the children with getting creative and trying new activities in a fun and social environment.
Outside of school, I love to go on walks and to the beach, especially in the summer!
Mrs Lea
Hi I’m Mrs Lea. I really enjoy working in both Early Years (I am usually based in Key Stage One as a One-to-One Learning Support/Teaching Assistant) and also work in the main school After School Club.
I am a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant and thoroughly enjoy helping the children be successful and have fun in our Den setting, supporting them with their activities.
I have two beautiful children of my own and a cat called Trixie.
Mr Ewing
Hello, I am Mr Ewing. I am 19 years old and recently completed my A Levels. I have joined Hordle School as an Early Years Apprentice and am thoroughly enjoying getting to know the children both in Den and in Team Wild, where I am usually based.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and listening to music. I also have a pet stick insect called Twiglet!
I love connect 4 so if any children are up for a game, I will take on the challenge (although, I am yet to be defeated!).
Miss Fletcher
Hello, my name is Miss Fletcher. I am currently working towards my Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship in Hordle Explorers (I am usually based in Team Nest, so your child(ren) may have seen me there before!).
I enjoy working as part of Team Den and looking after your children, building relationships and gaining experience working with the different age groups.
In my spare time I like to bake and cook.
Mrs Gibbons
Hi, I'm Mrs Gibbons and I love interacting with the children outside of the classroom environment, encouraging them with their creative play and artistic skills.
Outside of school, I love running in the New Forest, walking my dogs and reading detective books!
Miss Keeler
Hello, I am Miss Keeler and I work in both Key Stage One as a Teaching Assistant and Early Years DEN. I really enjoy getting creative and learning about different topics with the children in DEN.
When I am at home, I enjoy spending time with my family and going for walks.
Miss Caffyn
Hi my name is Miss Caffyn. I am currently finishing my A levels and I am a qualified lifeguard.
I enjoy swimming, golf and seeing my friends.
Miss Hooper
Hello, I'm Miss Hooper. I love being a part of Team Den! I'm a bubbly person and love working as a team, discussing new ideas and plans for the children to each enjoy at Den.
Since becoming part of Team Den, I feel I have helped the children learn new skills, helped to build their confidence and have formed professional, meaningful relationships with them.
I have many hobbies such as spending time with my family and friends and going on long walks.
I’m really enjoying the opportunity Hordle School and working with all of the wonderful children.
Miss Watts
Hi, I'm Miss Watts. Den is such a lovely place to work. It's lots of fun getting creative with the children and learning in different ways. I am thoroughly enjoying my role at Hordle Primary.
I love staying active by going for walks in the forest and playing netball.
Miss Rook
My name is Grace and I am doing work experience at Team Den for my Duke of Edinburgh award. I attend Highcliffe School and I really love my weekly visits to Hordle, where I spent my primary years!
I really enjoy spending time with the children, taking part in activities and helping with arts, crafts and games.
